Hedge trimming

Hedges cut back neat and square, front and back, low or tall.

A hedge that is cut well looks thicker, greener and tidier for longer. We trim privet, laurel, leylandii, beech and mixed hedges, along front walls, down side paths and round back gardens.

We cut the tops level and the sides straight, clear the clippings off paths and beds, and leave the pavement clear for your neighbours.

Hedge removal

Old, dead or unwanted hedges taken out, so you can start again.

Some hedges are past saving: bare at the bottom, dying back, or simply too big for the space. Others are in the way of a new fence, a wall or a driveway.

We cut the hedge down and take it out, so the space is clear for whatever comes next. Tell us what you plan to do afterwards and we will talk it through with you when we quote.

Tree removal

Trees that are too big, too close to the house or past saving, cut down.

A tree that has outgrown a London garden can block the light, lift paving and drop leaves into every gutter on the street. We take down trees that need to go, in sections where space is tight.

If your tree is in a conservation area or has a tree preservation order, the council needs to know before any work is done. It is worth checking with your council first; we are happy to talk it through when we quote.

Grass cutting

Lawns mowed and edged, as a one-off or through the season.

Long grass that has got away from you, or a lawn you would just rather not spend your weekend on. We mow, edge and tidy, from small front lawns to back gardens.

Very long grass is brought down over more than one cut where it needs it, so the lawn recovers rather than turning yellow.

Weeding

Beds, borders, patios and paths weeded, right down into the joints.

Weeds come back when only the tops are pulled. We get them out by the root from beds and borders, and from between the slabs of patios, paths, steps and driveways.

Drainage channels, gravel and the edges of walls get the same treatment, so the whole space looks cared for.

Garden and leaf clearance

Overgrown gardens, fallen leaves and debris cleared so you can use the space again.

A garden left for a year or two, a new home with a jungle out the back, a basement lightwell full of leaves and rubbish. We cut back, pull out, sweep up and bag up, until you can see the garden again.

In autumn we clear fallen leaves from lawns, patios, decks and paths before they turn slippery and smother the grass.

Garden maintenance

Regular visits to keep the lawn, hedges and weeds under control.

Once a garden is in order, a few visits a year keep it that way. We look after the jobs that add up: grass, hedges, weeds, leaves, tired planters and paths.
